Drop a file. Quote your part.
Drop the customer’s STEP, IGES or DXF files on a quote. PartsQuoted unfolds each sheet-metal part, measures its flat, bends and holes, and prices the line from your shop’s own rates and formulas. You check each line, then the customer gets their quote as a link and a PDF.

An animation of a sample quote for a made-up shop. The ENC-200 enclosure’s file is read into nine bodies and five parts. The ENC-201 tray’s six holes and four bends are found, and it unfolds flat, 7.273 by 5.773 inches. Its cut path is traced, and the enclosure is priced at 10, 50 and 100.
The quote it ends on, Q-1043, line ENC-200 Enclosure: $195.68 each at 10, $1,956.80 in all; $130.55 each at 50, $6,527.50; $122.33 each at 100, $12,233.00; lead time 20 days. Its parts: ENC-201 Tray, 1 per, $10.01 each; ENC-202 Lid, 1 per; ENC-203 Bracket, 2 per; ENC-204 Mount plate, 1 per; ENC-205 Standoff, 4 per, which needs input. The tray’s routing: laser cut, bend 4 times, powder coat.
01 · How it works
From the customer’s files to their quote in three moves.
-
Step 1
Drop the files
Drag the customer’s STEP, IGES or DXF files onto a quote, with their drawings. An assembly file becomes its BOM: one line for the assembly, every part under it with its qty per.
Q-1043 · ENC-200’s file, read into its parts
-
Step 2
Check the lines
Every part is a row with its flat, bends and holes, its routing, and its price at each quantity. Open one beside the list; change a step and the line prices again. A missing model or material is flagged.
ENC-201’s Part card · measured from its model
-
Step 3
Send the quote
The customer gets their quote as a link and a PDF. On the link they pick quantities and lead times, and order with their PO.
Q-1036 on the customer’s link
02 · What it reads
It sees the part the way your estimator does.
Read from the model, not typed in, and turned into the facts your formulas price.
An animation of the sample ENC-201 tray being read: its six holes found by a scan, its four bends marked, then it unfolds flat, 7.273 by 5.773 inches, and folds back.
| Part | Qty per |
|---|---|
| ENC-201 | 1 |
| ENC-202 | 1 |
| ENC-203 | 2 |
| ENC-204 | 1 |
| ENC-205 | 4 |
- Flat pattern
- Unfolded at your K-factor, with the blank size and net area for material.
- Bends
- Count, angle, inside radius, direction and length, for the press brake.
- Holes
- Counted and sized on the flat, with the pierces and cut length for the laser.
- Hems · jogs · curls · countersinks
- Counted on the model, before it’s unfolded.
- Assemblies
- One file becomes its BOM: sub-assemblies nested, each part with its qty per.
- The model
- In a 3D viewer: measure it, cut a section, explode an assembly, watch a part fold flat.
03 · Why PartsQuoted
Your estimators should be estimating, not clicking.
Built by a job-shop estimator who got tired of opening a new page for every line.
- Drop the whole assembly. No setting up one file at a time.
- Every part is a row. Details open beside the list, so you keep your place.
- Prices come from your own rates, tables and formulas, worked out the same way every time.
- Quantity breaks and totals stay in view while you work.
- A missing model, a missing material or a margin under your floor is flagged before you send.
- Every open quote on one board, by stage, with what’s due today.
